Grant Application Guide

Applicants may apply for funding for projects that will be completed during the calendar year following the application deadline.

Any individual or organization may be funded for a maximum of three consecutive years. After not applying for a year, you can apply again.

There is no limit to the total number of grants provided to any individual or organization.

In the 2024 grant cycle award funds will be available to the grantee through a direct grant, eliminating the requirement that grants made with Mass Cultural Council funds be reimbursement based. The Direct Grant option authorizes municipalities the ability to make grant money available in full and upfront to grant recipients.

In order to receive direct grant funds the recipients are required to submit a completed Grant Agreement Form and a W9 (provided by the BCA). The form serves the dual purpose of stating performance terms and conditions as well as a payment authorization.
